After Jesse Williams spoke about police brutality and cultural appropriation, Justin showed support for what Williams said:

What’s the problem with this seemingly innocent tweet? Many Black people feel that Timberlake falls into the category of cultural appropriation. His music style stems from Black culture, Black music, he writes with Black writers and, well, he’s benefitted well from “using” Black stuff.

Bloop.

Then, Justin responded and made things worse.

Then folks started clowing him and his appropriation.

Then Justin felt like he had to defend himself.

Foks weren’t feeling his attempt at “we are one.”
