Former “American Idol” finalist Rickey E. Smith Jr., was killed Friday morning in a car crash in Oklahoma he was 36. Smith was involved in a multi-car, wrong-way accident, that occurred when the driver of the other car slammed head-on into Smith’s car. The other drive has been charged with DUI. Smith was pronounced dead on site.
Smith appeared on Season 2 of “American Idol” alongside Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, who later went on to win in 2003.
