There’s a trend going on in the music industry and its quite the lucrative one.

Rapper T.I. plans to join the ranks of Mariah Carey, J.Lo, Celine Dion and Brittany Spears by doing a Las Vegas residency. The announcement was made on Thursday that he will be doing a monthly residency at Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell Las Vegas.

“Tip is an exceptional entertainer and addition to the Drai’s Live series,” Michael Gruber, president and partner of Drai’s Enterprises, said in a statement. “A reigning figure in the music industry and beyond, we are thrilled for what’s in store with his performances and we look forward to welcoming him into the Drai’s family.”

The 35-year-old released his first album 14 years ago, being a product of Southern Trap music. In the decade since, he’s won three Grammys, sold millions of albums and become a reality star with his VH1 show T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

Saturday night the self-proclaimed King of the South did the first concert of the residency, documenting his performance on Instagram. Tickets are available through July.

But Vegas is just one of the many things going on for T.I.: In addition to expecting his sixth child [the third with wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris], the rapper signed a distribution deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation on his forthcoming album, Dime Trap. He also is the 19th artist-owner of TIDAL, joining JAY Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Coldplay, Madonna.
