The Raleigh police officer suing Starbucks for $750k after hot coffee spilled in his lap will NOT be getting a check from the coffee chain.
The 10 jurors were not required to make a unanimous decision according to ABC11.
The police officer claimed that the free cup of coffee was delivered to him in a cup that wasn’t properly secured by a lid, didn’t come with a sleeve and collapsed in on itself, causing the coffee to spill into his lap.
Lt. Matthew Kohr claimed that the burns caused his dormant Crohn’s disease to flair up and led to intestinal surgery.
