At least three Wake County School web sites are still down this morning after and attempted hack on a server. The hack was an automated program and no personal information was compromised because there was nothing sensitive on the websites.
A report from the U.S Department of Justice on violent crime, and community and police relations in the City of Durham shows the city’s overall violent crime rate trended downward between 2000 and 2013, however gun-related homicides were up.

Michael Brown family plans wrongful-death suit against the city of Ferguson, Missouri. Brown’s shooting death in August by Officer Darren Wilson led to violent protests when a grand jury declined to charge Wilson.
