Veterans Day 2014 freebies are available for vets and many stores and restaurants are offering both promos and deals for the men and women who serve in the military. From grocery discounts, restaurant freebies, and free Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee are among the offers. Here’s a round-up of Veterans Day promotions valid on Tuesday, Nov. 11 (unless otherwise noted).

Note: Not every store will be participating so you may want to call ahead to verify your store is taking part in the promotion.

Here are some of the freebies being offered:

California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu to all active and retired military members.

Friendly’s, Applebee’s, and Hooters will also serve a free meal all day for vets and active duty members. Denny’s will do the same from 5 a.m. until noon.

Outback Steakhouse is giving a free bloomin’ onion and a beverage on Veterans Day while Cracker Barrel is giving a free dessert.

Great Clips is offering vets a free haircut through the end of the year. They will also give anyone who stops in on Veterans Day a free haircut card to give to a veteran.

Golden Corral will once again offer their yearly free buffet meal to anyone who has served or is currently serving. The meal is planned for Monday, Nov. 17 from 5-9 p.m.

Baskin Robbins has created a first class camouflage ice cream as the flavor of the month, 10 cents from each sold will benefit the United Service Organizations (USO) across the country.

Retailers like Home Depot, Harris Teeter, JC Penny and Dell are also among the dozens offering special discounts on Veterans Day

And, many of these deals for military members are also offered year-round. You can find them in a new free app called Discount Soldier.
