The HistoryMakers, the nation’s largest African-American video oral history archive will host its 5th Annual Back to School with the HistoryMakers Program on Friday, September 26th, 2014. The goal of the program is to place black leaders into schools across the nation, to inspire today’s youth and to call on them to commit to excellence and to finish their education. Back to School with the HistoryMakers will take place in 200 schools in 30 states and 61 cities across the U.S., including 2 schools in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Today’s “Back To School History Maker” is Chapel Hill native H. Marell Foushee, who is adamant about working with today’s youth and talks about his humble beginningS.
