Andre Benjamin portrays the legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix in “JIMI: All Us By My Side.” The movie covers just over a year in a Hendrix’s life, where he spent as a young musician trying to make it on the streets and in the clubs of London, England. The lovers, friends, and musical collaborators, who helped him get there.
“JIMI: All Is By Ny Side” is written and directed by 12 Years a Slave writer John Ridley, the movie won’t feature any of Hendrix’s songs, his estate denied their request. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on Sept. 26, 2014.
