Today, North Carolina A&T State University will hold a memorial service for Franklin McCain, who was a freshman at the school in 1960 when he and three others sparked a movement of nonviolent sit-in protests.
Officials with the Greensboro school say the service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in Harrison Auditorium on campus. People who want to attend must RSVP online.
