Wake County will begin weekly community flu vaccination clinics on Thursday, October 3 from 9am to 7pm at the county’s Public Health Center, 10 Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh.

This year’s flu vaccine will protect against seasonal and H1N1 flu, and will be available in both nasal spray and shot forms. No appointment is necessary. Flu vaccine is recommended for everyone older than 6 months of age. A high dose vaccine will be available for people over 65.

Uninsured, pregnant women and children who qualify for the federal Vaccines for children get the vaccine for free.
