For more than 20 years, Moses Mathis has collected bicycles, repaired them and given them to needy kids in the Fayetteville area. Mathis, also known as the Bicycle Man lost his battle with a long illness earlier this week. Mathis’ wife says the bicycle distribution will continue this Christmas, but isn’t sure if it will go on after that. We have provided service information below:

  • Sunday, July 21
  • Viewing – 3-5 p.m.
  • Memorial Service – 5-7 p.m.
  • Hood Memorial AME Zion Church, 2801 Rosehill Road, Fayetteville
  • Any community members who would like to share their remembrances of Mathis are invited to speak during the memorial service. People wishing to speak should contact Ann Mathis to be added to the list of speakers. 910-822-2034
