Beyoncé is preparing to take 2013 by storm!

First the dancing diva announced she’ll perform at the Super Bowl, now she’s set to direct and produce a “revealing” documentary for HBO.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO purchased the rights to the documentary and is scheduled to air it on February 16. The film promises “unprecedented access” to the star’s life.

The finished product will feature footage shot by Beyoncé from her laptop along with concert scenes, home movies and more.

Beyoncé says she’s a fan of HBO and looks forward to premiering her project with the cable network. “HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity,” she said in a statement. “Some of my favorite shows are on HBO. So I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”

The president of HBO programming, Michael Lombardo, is just as excited. “Everybody knows Beyoncé’s music, but few know Beyoncé the person,” said Lombardo. “Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.”
