Michelle Obama, Flava Flav and More At CIAA Tourney (Photos/Video)
First Lady Michelle Obama brought her Let’s Move campaign to the CIAA tournament on Friday. Students from David Cox and Nathaniel Alexander Elementary school participated in basketball and jump rope relays with Obama and Sen. Kay Hagan. Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx, Reps. Mel Watt and G.K. Butterfield along with CMPD Chief Rodney Monroe attended the event. Before the big time dignitaries filled the arena, Flava Flav got lots of attention as he munched on chicken wings in the stands.
