A HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect from 1a.m. this morning TO 8p.m. this evening. An excessive heat watch is in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. Temperatures as high as 98 to 102 with the heat index up to 109.
The Heat indices will range from 105 to 109 degrees this afternoon. Heat indices of 105 to around 110 will be possible on Sunday. The combination of heat and humidity can create hazardous conditions for those outdoors.
*A HEAT ADVISORY means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. Hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS..STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM..STAY OUT OF THE SUNSHINE… AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS. DO NOT LEAVE PETS OR ANYONE IN VEHICLES.
Take frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned areas. If overcome by heat move to a cool and shaded location. HEAT STROKE IS AN EMERGENCY – CALL 911.
