The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issues a HEAT ADVISORY,from noon to 7p.m. this evening.
Expect temperatures in the upper 90’s to near 100 with a HEAT INDEX up to 109. The hottest temperatures and highest heat indices are expected during the afternoon and early evening hours Friday.
The heat and humidity can create hazardous outdoor conditions. Outdoor activities should be scheduled for cooler condition during the morning or late evening hours.
Drink plenty of fluids and stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sunshine and check up on relatives and neighbors.
