Get your Grass off Gas!
The Durham City- County Sustainability Office is partnering with Black and Decker, offering deep discounts on electric equipment in exchange for your old gasoline-powered equipment. Old equipment will be recycled for material.
At these two events, Durham residents can bring in their old gasoline lawnmowers and other small landscape equipment (responsibly drained of fluids) and buy Black and Decker models that have been discounted from 13 to 50 percent. Those who preregister can pick from available models of lawnmowers and a variety of other landscaping equipment and guarantee availability on the date desired. Those who do not preregister will have the choice of the available models on site for as long as they last.
