-Triangle Town Center will host its annual mall trick or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Stores that plan to hand out candy will display pumpkins in their windows.

-Hallow-Eno will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at West Point on the Eno Park, 5101 N. Roxboro Road. Admission is free. Activities are geared to children ages 12 and younger and include Treats at the Mangum House, The Scrap Exchange at the picnic shelter, face painting at the mill. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Bring flashlights and imaginations!
-The town of Garner has completed the South Garner Greenway, which connects Timber Drive near Buckingham Road to the trails at White Deer Park. Trick-or-treating for children will be held along the trail from 2:30 to 5 p.m. today. Parking will be available at White Deer Park, 2400 Aversboro Road. -Large crowds are expected downtown at Chapel Hill’s annual Halloween celebration tonight. Franklin Street will close to traffic at 9 p.m. and reopen at 11:30 p.m. Access to downtown will be restricted because of lane and street closures, and parking will be essentially unavailable downtown. Chapel Hill Transit will run its usual bus routes, although some will be rerouted because of traffic diversion.
