Duke Lacrosse Accuser’s Boyfriend Says He Heard Voices–Caused Him to Set Clothes On Fire

The former boyfriend of Crystal Mangum, the Durham woman who falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of rape in 2006, said Monday that he’s responsible for a February incident that led to criminal charges against her.
Mangum was charged Feb. 18 with attempted first-degree murder, five counts of arson, assault and battery, communicating threats, three counts of misdemeanor child abuse, injury to personal property, identity theft and resisting a public officer.
