Koka Booth, the former Mayor of Cary who oversaw its boom into one of the most populous towns in North Carolina, has died.
Her son, Harvey Kennedy, confirmed that his mother died on Tuesday (Jan. 17) of natural causes, in her home in Winston-Salem. She was 98.
