Sister to Sister Sorority Luncheon Returns to Raleigh

Karen Clark of Foxy 107.1/104.3 recently spoke with Taylor Thomas about the much-anticipated return of the Sister to Sister Sorority Luncheon to Raleigh. Originally launched over two decades ago in the Triangle area, this empowering event is making its triumphant return on Saturday, August 9th, at the North Raleigh Hilton.
The Sister to Sister Sorority Luncheon serves as more than just a gathering—it’s a celebration of sisterhood and a platform for fostering networking and community connections. Taylor Thomas, the event’s founder and a seasoned broadcaster, shared that the goal is to bring together sororities in a space designed to build relationships, share resources, and give back.
Attendees don their sorority colors and spend the day connecting with like-minded women. The luncheon features a full meal, a scholarship initiative, and even a fashion show.
“This is about recirculating dollars within our community and celebrating the work that we do,” Taylor emphasized.
Since its inception in Raleigh, the luncheon has expanded to cities like Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Richmond, and Harrisburg, PA. Despite its growth, it maintains its original mission of bringing women together to support one another and uplift local communities.
With the support of a local advisory board and Radio One, this year’s Raleigh luncheon represents a homecoming and a renewal of its original vision.
