Trump Demands Beyoncé Be Prosecuted Over Kamala Endorsement Deal

President Donald Trump is once again making waves, this time by repeating accusations that Vice President Kamala Harris paid high-profile celebrities for their public support during her 2024 presidential campaign. In a strongly worded message posted to Truth Social on Saturday, Trump claimed that the Harris campaign funneled millions of dollars to A-list figures including Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Al Sharpton in exchange for endorsements—something he says is not just unethical but illegal.

“YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO,” Trump wrote. He added, “Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted!”

Trump even laid out specific amounts he says were paid: $11 million to Beyoncé, $3 million to Oprah, and $600,000 to Al Sharpton. He claims these payouts were disguised as production or appearance fees but were in fact direct compensation for political support.
This isn’t the first time Trump has accused Harris of such behavior. Back in December, he mocked the celebrity involvement in her campaign, saying, “Beyoncé didn’t sing, Oprah didn’t do much of anything (she called it ‘expenses’), and Al is just a third rate Con Man.”

In response, Oprah previously addressed similar accusations by stating she “was not paid a dime” for her appearance with Harris at a virtual campaign event. She clarified that production expenses were covered, which is standard practice for campaign events. “The people who worked on that production needed to be paid. And were. End of story,” she explained in a public statement last fall.
As for Beyoncé, the Harris campaign has denied that she was paid for any kind of endorsement. According to Federal Election Commission filings, Harris’s team did pay Beyoncé’s production company, Parkwood Production Media LLC, a total of $165,000—but campaign officials said this was a reimbursement for production costs, not a personal payout. These types of payments are legal under campaign finance laws when related to event expenses and cannot be treated as donations or endorsements.
Despite these clarifications, Trump remains unconvinced and continues to press the issue publicly. Whether or not his claims hold legal weight remains to be seen, but they’ve certainly added more drama to an already charged political atmosphere. With the election season heating up, this latest round of accusations may further polarize supporters on both sides.
