June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, a time to celebrate the history, culture, and impact of the LGBTQ+ community. Across the Triangle, many events are taking place to celebrate.

Here’s what’s happening in the area:

Chapel Hill
Saturday, June 7: Chapel Hill Pride Promenade
Time: 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: 140 W. Franklin St.
The march begins at 12:45 p.m., starting from Peace & Justice Plaza to 140 West Plaza in downtown.

Pittsboro
Friday, June 6 – Saturday, June 7: Pittsboro Pride Festival
Location: The Plant on Lorax Lane
Friday: Outdoor drag show and dance party
Saturday: Festival and parade

Apex
Saturday, June 14: Apex Pride Festival
Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Town Hall Campus, 73 Hunter Street
Activities: Live music, entertainment, inflatables and games for kids, food trucks, and vendors

Carrboro
Friday, June 14: Pride Piper Walk
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Start: El Centro Hispano
Walk down Weaver Street to Town Commons to kick off the Orgullo Pride Celebration
Saturday, June 14: Orgullo Latinx Pride
Time: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Carrboro Town Commons
Activities: Food trucks, drag shows, music, crafts, and Latinx LGBTQ+ community celebration

Morrisville
Friday, June 6: Music in the Park Celebrates Pride
Time: 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Indian Creek Trailhead on Town Hall Drive
Activities: Live music from 22 Strings, drag bingo with Trader Joe’s prizes, local vendors

Raleigh
Saturday, June 21: Out! Raleigh Pride Festival
Time: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Location: Downtown Raleigh
Activities: Two stages of live music and dancing, food trucks, shopping vendors, beer garden, photo booths, and kids’ zone

Fayetteville
Saturday, June 21: PrideFest 2024
Time: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Crown Expo Center

Pride Month is recognized every June as a celebration of LGBTQ+ identity and a tribute to the community’s influence on culture and history in the U.S. and worldwide.
