The City of Greenville is preparing to distribute another round of Small Business Assistance Grants this fall, and interested businesses must attend at least one of the mandatory workshop options this Tuesday, September 24.

The City’s Neighborhood and Business Services Business Development Division will host an in-person workshop on Tuesday, September 24, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Third Floor Gallery of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street. Another in-person (same location) and virtual workshop will be held later in the day from 6-7 p.m.

Attendance at one of the workshops is required for any business seeking Small Business Assistance Grant funding from the City. The workshops are designed to advise business owners on the process and proper documentation.

The next round of Small Business Assistance Grant funding will be the third round. It will include up to $100,000 in assistance. The program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Since starting the program, the City of Greenville has provided more than $362,000 in funding for local businesses.

For more information about Small Business Assistance Grant funding, contact the Neighborhood & Business Services Business Development Division at (252) 329-4505 or email businessdevelopment@greenvillenc.gov.
