Chatham Community Library Announces Free Computer Classes
Chatham Community Library is excited to announce in-person computer and technology classes in September and October. Classes are free and open to the public. Drop-in Computer & Tech Assistance
Thursdays, September 12 & October 10, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Community members may visit the computer lab on the second Thursday of each month for one-on-one help with computer and technology questions. No registration is required.
Microsoft PowerPoint Basics, Part 1
Thursday, September 19, 3:00 p.m.
Individuals can learn the basics of creating presentations and slide shows using Microsoft PowerPoint. Topics include using slide designs and layouts, formatting text boxes, inserting pictures, managing slides, and more.
Microsoft PowerPoint Basics, Part 2
Thursday, September 26, 3:00 p.m.
Participants will build on the concepts learned in Microsoft PowerPoint Basics, Part 1. Topics include creating charts and tables, adding video and audio, working with transitions and animations, and more. Participants should have prior basic experience with PowerPoint.
Thursday, October 17, 3:00 p.m.
This class is designed for beginners. Participants will learn how to use a mouse and keyboard, identify parts of the computer, and understand the basics of how computers work.
Thursday, October 24, 3:00 p.m.
Participants will build on the concepts learned in Computer Basics, Part 1. Participants will learn about file organization, searching their computer, basic computer maintenance, and more. Participants should have prior basic computer experience.
