The brown bag test has gone digital. If you’re not familiar with the brown bag test, it was a type of racial discrimination used in the 20th century in the US. The color of the paper bag determined whether or not an individual could have certain privileges. Individual’s with a certain skin color that was lighter than a brown paper bag were allowed in certain social circles.

Fast forward to 2016, there’s a black dating App ‘Smoochr’, geared towards black people, that will allow you to pick your matches based strictly on their skin color and hair texture.
