It’s always a welcomed surprise when you get news on some of your favorite artists from back-in-the-day that shows they are doing well instead of another celebrity cautionary tale. This time, it happens to be none other than 90s R&B bad girl Adina Howard, who is setting tongues wagging with her latest photo.
If you logged on to Twitter today, you may have been surprised (or even alarmed) to see that the R&B singer was trending for the remainder of the day, fortunately it was for a good reason. The Internet was swooning over a new photo of Howard, in all of her “fabulous over 40” glory, looking absolutely stunning.
As reported by Madame Noire, Howard set the ultimate #ThirstTrap when her current photo started circulating online.
Their report states:
The 42-year-old Freak Like Me singer looks damn good.
[Whatever she’s been doing to stay in shape it’s working, because she literally looks like she did in the 90s.] She was a sex symbol then, and according to the reaction on Twitter, she’s still one to this day. And that’s great to know, considering that Howard was one of the first Black women to be open and unabashed when it came to her sexuality.
If you ever wondered what she [has been up to these days], she actually got married and became a chef. As she stated in an exclusive interview in 2013, “To me, food is another form of entertainment and it’s also a form of seduction. I just want to be inside you. You touch them in ways that music can’t touch them. You actually savor the food, it marinates on the inside. You stay with them for a while.”
Kudos to Adina Howard for looking absolutely fierce and letting women over 40 know that sexiness and fitness does not have an expiration date. Hopefully, she may bless us with some new music in the future to further showcase her rocking body.
