Shonda Rhimes Reacts To Petition To Fire Jessie Williams

Dr. Jackson (Jessie Willimas) Avery lives! The Queen of Thursday night’s Shonda Rhimes has spoken, she shut down petitions to fire Jesse Williams from the show Grey’s Anatomy. You may recall, some people have their underoos and vickie’s in a bunch over the speech Williams gave at the 2016 BET awards, calling him “racist” for speaking passionately about Black Lives Matter.

So far, the petition has over 5,000 signatures, and there’s a counter-petition urging Shonda Rhimes to “stand for Jesse” with almost 20,000 supporters.It appears a little petition is not about to disrupt or dictate her creative flow.
