There are still some nice people in the world.
A California teenager was selling candy outside of a Target store when she was harrassed by an older, white woman who demanded to see the teen’s business license and threatened her with jail. The girl said she was selling candy for $1 to make money.
A passerby, Jay Lopez, stopped and engaged with the woman. Lopez said when he approached the teen and the woman, the girl was crying hysterically and the older woman was yelling at her.
Lopez berated the woman, and offered to by all of the teenage girl’s candy. In the video, you can hear Lopez say, “You should be ashamed of yourself. I’m buying it all and I’m going to give it to all of these people.”
