Once again, people are in their feelings about the casting of Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone. It all comes down to skin color.
The original outrage came when photos of Saldana leaked during production of the movie a couple of years ago. This week, the movie trailer was released and people are remembering how angry they were.
What’s the issue? Zoe Saldana is in blackface, according to the internet, and many believe that there are many other talented, dark-skinned actresses who could have played the role of Simone.
