Roland Martin talks to Father George Clements about the importance of Pope Francis’ visit to the United States and what other black Catholics hope to gain from his time here.
“What we have to understand is the word Catholic means everybody. It’s universal. It means to us that the leader of our religion is here in this nation and we need him, while he’s here, to address all the Catholics. Not just Latinos but black Catholics. We want to be given our fair share. We want him to acknowledge our presence,” Father Clements said.
