“Julian was one of the youngest members of SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). He served as the Editor of the newspaper that SNCC put out. He married early and had a family and that sort of kept him on the base in Atlanta. He’s had a disgusted career for 60 years. He never left the struggle. He was one of the first to come out of Vietnam,” Young said. “Julian was a wonderful guy that got along with everybody. His father was a college President and Historian.
