Raleigh Police Officer Sues $750K Over Free Coffee From Starbucks

A local police officer is suing Starbucks for $750k over a free cup of coffee that spilled into his lap. The officer says the coffee burns caused his dormant Crohn’s disease to flair up and subsequently led to a surgery to remove part of his intestines.
Starbucks claims that the flair up of the Raleigh officer’s disease was a coincidence and had nothing to do with the free coffee spill.
