Larry Wilmore keeps it 100 as the new host of Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show, but the Emmy Award winner has been creating some of your favorite comedy shows for the past two decades.

He was a writer for the seminal 80’s comedy sketch show In Living Color, created The Bernie Mac Show and The PJ’s, helped Kenya Barris develop Black-ish and worked with Awkward Black Girl’s Issa Rae on the show that has been picked up by HBO.

One of the most popular segments on his new show is called, yup, ‘Keeping It 100′ where Wilmore gives his acerbic take on the day’s current events.

“At my age, at 53, why should I be keeping it 70,” he says. “That’s for 20 somethings or when you’re 35 and you’re going through a transition and you gotta watch your language because you’re not sure what to say because you’re not sure who you’re attracting. I just went through a divorce and I have kids going to college, why wouldn’t I?”

The Nightly Show airs on Comedy Central Monday – Thursday at 11:30 p.m.

Click above to see why Wilmore thinks Halle Berry, Vanessa Williams and Pam Grier are the over-40 actresses that he’d most likely to be caught in bed with.
