Winter Storm Watch for Central North Carolina
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from this evening through Wednesday bringing freezing rain and possible sleet with an accumulations up to a quarter of an inch of ice, creating slick road conditions throughout the day. This will impact travel and possible scattered power outages.
Ice accumulation will be capable of bringing down trees and power lines. Temperature will fall below freezing this evening and into the mid to upper 20’s by Wednesday morning.
