I had an opportunity to see the advance screening of the Langston Hughes movie adaption of “Black Nativity”. The holiday musical drama BLACK NATIVITY follows Langston(Jacob Latimore), a street-wise teen from Baltimore who’s raised by a single mother. He journeys to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs (Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett). However, Langston is unwilling to live by the rules imposed by Reverend Cobbs. Young Langston goes on an inspirational journey learning about family, faith and forgiveness.
Jacob Lattimore talks about his journey in the movie and working with a star-studded cast. Black Nativity opens nationwide November 27.
