During the month of July, Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) along with the National Recreation and Park Association and hundreds of park agencies, departments and associations across the country, will observe Park and Recreation Month.
During the month of July, DPR would like for residents to show how they love Durham’s parks. There are many ways for the community to “Play More” but no one can tell a better story about Durham’s parks than those who enjoy them. During the month of July, residents and park patrons are invited to visit their favorite park, take a photo showcasing how they love Durham’s parks and email it to DPRinfo@durhamnc.gov.
Photos submitted may be used in DPR’s promotional materials including the Play More Magazine and or posted on Facebook/DPR’s webpage. All photos must be accompanied by a photo release form. Subjects in the photo under the age of 18 must have parental/guardian approval.
Parks provide valuable benefits to the community from health and wellness to nature and community spirit. Residents are encouraged to get their camera out, capture the moment and share it with DPR!
