Grammy artist Natalie Maria Cole is the daughter of the late jazz legend Nat King Cole. The R & B artist gave us hits “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)”, “Inseparable” and “Our Love”. After failing sales and performances as a result of to a heavy drug addiction, Cole had a huge hit of the Bruce Springsteen’s “Pink Cadillac”. In the 1990s, she re-recorded standards by her father, resulting in her biggest success, Unforgettable… with Love. The single sold over seven million copies and also won Cole numerous Grammy Awards. She has also sold over 30 million records worldwide.
In 2000, Cole released an autobiography, Angel on My Shoulder, which described her battle with drugs during much of her life. Her autobiography was turned into a made-for-TV movie, Livin’ for Love: The Natalie Cole Story.
In 2008, Cole was diagnosed with hepatitis C, a disease of the liver. Cole’s kidneys began to fail and was the recipient of a a kidney transplant in 2009. In 2010, Cole released a second memoir titled “Love Brought Me Back,” the heart-wrenching chronicle of her quest for a kidney transplant.
The accomplished R&B and jazz vocalist continues to dazzle fans with all of her amazing vocals and hits.
