It’s time for Morpheus to get out the overcoat & shades and defend his turf. Actor Laurence Fishburne is the latest Hollywood celebrity to deal with a crazed stalker.
The Matrix star obtained a restraining order last week against a man who, according to Fishburne’s court filing, showed up at his house and claimed to be its rightful owner and then left a handwritten letter in the mailbox ordering Fishburne and his family to “evacuate ASAP.”
The man, Anthony Francis, tried to evict the star from his home while present with his wife Gina Torres. They called the police and learned the man had been arrested for cyber stalking in the past. Francis also spent time in a mental hospital prior to this incident.
Francis is currently required to stay at least 100 yards away from Fishburne, Torres and their daughter. A hearing on whether to make the restraining order permanent is scheduled for Jan. 23.
