Get ready for Phoenix Fest it’s the City of Durham’s funkiest street music festival celebrating the legacy of Hayti. Phoenix Fest kicks off Saturday October 6th with an opening parade marching up historic Fayetteville Street from 9:00am til 11:00 am. The vending bazaar gets underway from 11:00am til 6:00pm. with eye-pleasing displays and lip-smacking delicacies, and on-stage with some of the best talent anywhere in the country.
Phoenix Fest is seeking volunteers to monitor children playing in the blow-ups. Volunteers can be adults or teenagers aged 16 and up. Call Denise Hester at 919-680-2878.
