Today until 3:00 p.m., RecruitMilitary a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, business-ownership, and education Opportunity Expo. The Expo is for job seekers who have military backgrounds and will be held in Vaughn Towers at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, home of the North Carolina State University Wolfpack.
RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. RecruitMilitary will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion.
The company expects more than 30 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are HCA HealthCare, The Home Depot, the City of Winston-Salem Police Department, Military Sealift Command, the National Veterans Employment Program (NVEP) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, DeVry University, Grand Canyon University, Austin Quality Foods Inc., Homeland Security Solutions, Allscripts, DSU Inc., United Rentals Inc., New Horizons – Raleigh, Bayer, My Computer Career, First Command Financial Planning, U.S. Training Center, Georgia College of Construction, Strayer University, The Art Institutes, and Limestone College
