Singer Vesta Williams was found dead in a hotel room in Los Angeles. The body of the 48-year-old R&B star, who enjoyed a string of hits throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, was reportedly discovered on Thursday. Williams rose to fame in the 1980s with a number of hits including Congratulations and Sweet, Sweet Love. She released seven albums throughout her career and her last record, Distant Lover, hit shelves in 2007.
