July 18 is recognized as Nelson Mandela International Day, marking the anti-apartheid activist’s birthday.

Mandela, or “Madiba” as he was lovingly referred to, dedicated his entire life to service as a lawyer, revolutionary, humanitarian, and the first president of South Africa. His influence stretched beyond his homeland, becoming an international icon of peace.
