Pancreatic Cancer is a terrible disease that is incurable. A few year ago, I became intrigued with this cancer when I came across Randy Pausch and his phenomenal video, “The Last Lecture” was released.  He was featured on several media outlets highlighting his story and journey with his illness. 

One of the top news stories this week was our beloved Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  The confirmation by her hometown local news station and family has swept the world and many prayers and positive notes were sent out to the Detroit native.

HIV and AIDS does not discriminate.  It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, famous or not so famous.   I know each one of us can call out a loved one or some one we know who has fallen victim to this disease. 

As we recognize World AIDS Day today, its imperative that we continue to raise awareness and educate the masses.  Being responsible and protecting ourselves and others is one of our main goals. 

Congratulations! You have the opportunity to be a part of this important day all over the world.  Millions of people are living with HIV and AIDS.  We must continue to raise awareness and protect ourselves and others.

December 1st marks World AIDS Day 2010 all around the world.  People famous and not so famous are making the most out of this  day to raise awareness and celebrate loved ones who are dealing with this disease, lost the battle and highlighting positive developments with research and prevention.  

Every Thanksgiving we look forward to our favorite dishes our mom, auntie, granny, dad or appointed chef makes for the big holiday meal.  There’s nothing like having familiar delicious foods every year however, how about taking it up a notch this year?
