Raleigh Police Introduce Hoop Night To Connect With The Community
The Raleigh Police Department, in partnership with Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, is launching Raleigh Hoop Night—a summer program designed to connect local teens with police officers through friendly basketball games. Aimed at youth ages 14 to 18, the initiative offers a relaxed environment where teens and officers can interact, build relationships, and have meaningful conversations.
Participation is free, and games will take place every Friday at different recreation centers throughout the summer. Teens interested in joining can sign up via the registration link available on the Raleigh Police Department’s social media pages. Raleigh Hoop Night is part of the city’s broader mission to strengthen community bonds and engage the next generation in positive, impactful ways.
