Officials in Arkansas said a Pittsburgh woman found a three-carat diamond while visiting a state park.
According to a news release from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, Patti Kubli paid a visit to the state’s Crater of Diamonds State Park.Kubli told officials she was inspired to visit by the Arkansas state quarter, which features a diamond in its design.
After arriving at the park, Kubli and her sister began a surface search of the Crater of Diamonds search area. After about half an hour, Kubli spotted the flawless, 3.17 carat yellow diamond.
