Building Blocks, a day care under construction at 55 Hawkesburg Drive in Clayton, caught fire early Monday. Fire crews have deemed it “very suspicious.”
Several people called 911 to report the flames around 3:50 a.m. No one was hurt, and there was no word on what caused the blaze.
“We say it’s very suspicious due to the fact that it is under construction,” Clayton Police Department Captain J.L. Gerrell said.
