According to Deadline, it was announced on Fox’s Upfront call that the show would be canceled following its sixth season. The CEO of Fox Entertainment stated, “We are turning the final season into a large TV event, we are trying to go out guns a blazing. You wallow fans to lean in and have the ending they deserve.”
