Veterans Day Events

North Carolina Veterans Day Parade in Raleigh– The Raleigh parade, on Saturday, November 10th, starts at 9 a.m. The parade begins at the intersection of Lenoir and Fayetteville streets.

Veterans Day Remembrance

On Saturday, November 10th, 2018, at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. there will be a ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Living Memorial, 600 W. Murray Avenue, Durham.

The Lasting Legacies of World War I

This program takes place on Saturday, November 10th, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at North Carolina Museum of History. The program commemorates the centennial of the Armistice that ended World War I.

22nd Annual Veterans Day Concert at Durham VA Medical Center

The Durham Community Concert Band will  perform at the Annual Veterans Appreciation Concert at Durham VA Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, on Saturday, November 10th, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The concert will take place in the Canteen Atrium.

The Town of Cary will hold a Veterans Day Observance on Sunday, November 11th, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Veterans Freedom Park, 1513 N. Harrison Ave. It will include speakers, patriotic music and more.

Veterans Day Observance in Garner

The Town of Garner’s Veterans Day Observance takes place Sunday, November 11th, at Aversboro Baptist Church, 1600 Aversboro Road, Garner, at 3 p.m. This event features recognition of veterans, patriotic music and a keynote address. A Mini-concert featuring patriotic music played by Garner Magnet High School band students will be offered at 2:30 p.m. Tours of the Garner Veterans Memorial will be available before and after the ceremony.
