Keke Palmer returns to the powerhouse film franchise in Ice Age: Collision Course. The story follows the journey of the animals in the Ice Age World who are desperately trying to save their world from ending. Queen Latifah, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Wanda Sykes, Jenifer Lopez are just some of the celebrities that lend their voices to these adorable characters.

Keke talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the challenges of doing animation, her new music and a special project that may bring her back to television soon.

Her role in Ice Age:

“I play baby Peaches, I’m the daughter of Ray and Queen Latifah. She’s ready to move on and be an adult. She’s ready to get married and move away, which is difficult for her parents.”

The biggest challenge on animation vs. real life acting:

“Being only able to act with your voice. You cant rely on your expression. You don’t get to do that with animation like a live performance.”

Ice Age: Collision Course opens in theaters Friday, July 22nd. Click the link above to hear the entire interview.
