Georgia, Andersonville, The Confederate battle flag is still proudly flown in downtown, despite the town's notorious civil war history it still insists on calling itself a Civil War village.

East Chapel Hill High School students recently took a trip to Gettysburg. A photo was posted to Instagram showing two students posing with Confederate flags. The photo caption reads: “South will rise.” A comment under the photo reads: “Already bought my first slave.”

Parents and students were upset. The school system says it has taken action, but won’t say what the action was.

At a news conference yesterday, a parent of one of the student who posted the photo said that his daughter didn’t mean for it to be seen as racist.
